A good day

It is ridiculously difficult to try to write over a lovely, fluffy, big cat who insists upon sitting on my lap this morning. You’d laugh if you saw my arms wrapped over and under him to type. Hardly ergonomic.

I had quite a fabulous writing day – my first 1K day in 30 days. (Ugh, I didn’t realize it had been quite that long.) 1,070 to be precise, with 1,298 total when I include blog words. I wrote three times, getting 527 in the morning and 543 in evening.

And I read, quite a bit, in between. Google Play gave me a $5 coupon, and an app called Google Opinion Rewards has been giving me Google Play credits for giving away information about myself, so the $7 book (Make Me Love You, by Joanna Lindsey) was cost-free. I’ve plowed through about half of that since purchasing it at 5 p.m., not to mention the additional pages read of You Are a Badass, by Jen Sincero (affiliate link) that I managed before that.

And today, I woke up on time! Because last night, I went to bed before 10 p.m., which is rather unlike me, but as I pointed out to Erin in the comments the other day, with half of the family being cats, and the other 3/8 being in bed by 9 p.m. (sometimes much earlier), there’s no reason for me to stay up late when that’s not my productive time. And I feel better being productive, even if 5 a.m. is an hour that really ought to be slept through and not seen.

I very nearly woke at 4 a.m., which I believe is going to be the ultimate goal. That one, though, I’ll have to rely on the silent Fitbit alarm to reach. It would definitely drive DH crazy to hear that, and not everyone in the house returns to sleep quite as well as I do.

Well, anyway. Good day! I’m going to write a bit before waking a couple of the younger members of the house, and see if I can have even a better day than yesterday!
