We completely stopped watching YouTube, all four of us, to stare at Shadow aggressively bathing Shybutts. It was completely adorable. For some reason, Shadow felt it was his duty to lay on his brother and give him a bath. And then instead of just draping himself across Shybutts’ shoulder, he decided he needed more control, and just lay on him like a blanket.
Then the fight broke out.
Yesterday had a lot of things going on in it. Saturday is Laundry day, but I got started very early (actually waking at 6 a.m.) and so was able to finish that up by 2 p.m.
Then our long-haired cat had an appointment at the groomers, and that went well in that I found the place, only got minimally lost on the way, and his expressions of his stress was limited to inappropriate uses of the cat crate. I have a blanket to wash now. It could have gone much worse, though. He made it through, I made it through, and now he’s free of knotted fur.
My words didn’t get squeezed in until the very last moment of the day, and so I’ll treat them the same way here.
