That went well.

Yesterday morning I took my laptop upstairs and set a 30-minute timer and wrote as much as I could. I managed

896 fiction words, 1,036 total words

(the blog words not being written in that 30 minutes, of course)

which was a lovely surprise! I’m going to do it again this morning, and I expect similar results.

I didn’t write any more in the evening, though. I concentrated on reading about how to cook brown rice and how to make homemade salsa (that’s not going to happen anytime soon).

I took two large salads to work yesterday because two nights ago I cut up the last of the romaine lettuce hearts (?) I bought the weekend before. I didn’t want them to go bad, and I figured if I had salad cut up, I’d eat it. About 10:30 I was very hungry, so I ate an early lunch. And then at 4:30, I ate another late lunch. I love eating, so this is working out okay, except I’m done with beans for a few days. Nothing wrong with them, I’m just getting sick of them (that didn’t take long).

Have a lovely day!

  1. Yay, words! Lots of words!

Only thing you need to learn salsa: The Great Salsa Book My husband and I both owned copies of this when we got married. Miller also has a companion book about chilies, and he has several other cookbooks as well. But start with the salsa one.

    1. Okay, I’ll take a look at it and see. I’m not sure whether I’m up to the task, to be honest. I love salsa, but don’t feel the same love for the individual ingredients. I don’t know if that makes sense, but there’s that “block” in my way. We’ll see if that changes. 🙂
