These guys took a pause from grooming each other to pose. Shybutts is on the left, Static on the right. They seem to be handling the heat better than the humans in the house, with the exception of Shadow that keeps panting. That reminds me to give him a brush the next time I see him, or a really good comb. I might have to look into adding another couple water bowls, too, to be honest. We have plenty out, and they drink, but it gets hairy because Shadow and Fluffy keep shedding into it.
Oh, in other news, I published a thing. It’s not widely available yet because everything is in that odd stage between when I approve it and when they approve it. I’ll update links as I get them.
He held still long enough for me to grab a photo, and it only took two attempts! I saved you from the photo of him actually bathing, but imagine if you zoomed out a little bit. He’s not curled up against another feline. That’s his leg on the left, there. I imagine he’s wondering why I keep thrusting rectangular objects in his face and calling his name.
Pinky, if he were pictured here instead of Static, would say, “The hell, human?” And probably thrust the camera out of his face. Good thing Static is much more laid back. I just realized that’s Shybutts/Blinky. Oops.
Static with the Dark M
This is Static, and the way you can tell is that his forehead M is dark, not light. Shybutts has the light M. Otherwise, from the front, the little guys are virtually indistinguishable from each other. Static here was chewing on my First Reader copy of Space Cat. It now has three teeth marks in it. I shall take it as a sign that he is interested in more.
“Yeah, Kitty, I know!”
