A piece of wood that refused to come into focus

Brown-y

This piece of wood absolutely refused to come into focus. I wonder too if perhaps this project has served its purpose – that I don’t actually enjoy trying to take a photo every day. At least lately I find myself not looking for opportunities to take photos, but looking for something I can take a photo of in my living room without getting up. So this experiment may be at an end, and much earlier than the 365 day goal. This is day 204, so I made it more than halfway. I think I’m no longer going to stress over it, and just keep focusing on whether it’s a fun experiment or a chore.

Seashells

Walking down the sidewalk in wilting heat this afternoon (why, oh why did I agree to that?) I spotted a shell in the sidewalk. I believe this is not an unusual thing, depending on what kind of cement is used, or where it’s made. It was lovely. Enjoy a bit of a Where’s Waldo moment trying to find it, if you like.

Brudders

When we first got the cats, it was difficult to tell these two apart. In the foreground is Shybutts, with his more defined stripes and his lighter forehead M. In the background is Static, with his fine stripes that you can’t see, and his darker M. Even knowing this, I sometimes forget who is who. It doesn’t help that three of our cats have S names (technically they all do), so sometimes I’ll run through two or three before I hit the right one if I’m not paying attention.

I don’t know. It’s a photo and it’s relatively in focus. I had a long day in a hot office and I just want to polish off the last couple tasks for the day and go to bed ready to take on tomorrow. Hopefully, it won’t be as hectic. If it is, Friday will be even more “fun”!
