Hello

Hippo would like to say, “Hello.” He is a Christmas hippo. He is the beloved companion of one of my children, and he is perched next to me, I think, in an attempt to raise my mood.

It has worked. Please allow him to do the same for you.

Headwear

Permission granted from the wearer and the hippo to display their likeness here. I asked why, and the response was: At first, because I was good. Then, because it was a gag. Now, so he’s out of the way. So I leave you with this visual that I enjoy nearly daily. Enjoy.

He arrived at Christmas

That’s Hippo. He is a beloved member of the family. He makes an excellent sleep mask and a good snuggle partner. He did indeed arrive at Christmas, a side effect of my love for the Gayla Peevy song involving both subjects as well as the desire of one for the other. He made as good a subject as any for tonight’s photo. It feels much earlier than it actually is. I don’t want to sleep away my day tomorrow. I’ll have to figure that out soon.

Friends

These are my friends, Hippo and Fluffy. Fluffy decided laying on his back, spread-eagled would be a good way to get attention. I decided lying a small stuffed water horse on his stomach was a good way to get a cute picture. Since we were both right, I offer you this photo for your viewing pleasure this evening. Please, enjoy.
